Many women are feeling frustrated with what’s happening in our environment, our economy and in our communities, yet we are feeling powerless as what to do about it.
The good news!!!
There is good news - as women we have a tremendous opportunity to make significant social change. By the year 2012, it is estimated that women will control over 60% of the wealth in North America and this is estimated to grow to 70% by 2019.
With so much money in the hands of women, we will have the financial clout to change the landscape of our world.
Internationally respected leaders like the Dalai Lama, Stephen Lewis and Muhammad Yunus (founder of the Grameen Bank) – are saying that it is women who will advocate for the changes that our world needs to thrive.
But without understanding how money works, without being conscious of how money flows into and out of our life, without being actively engaged in how money is invested, without understanding our relationship to money – we won’t have the voice to influence positive action.
Now is your time to understand money and how you can make a difference with every dollar you make, spend and invest.
Join Karin Mizgala, MBA CFP Co-founder of the Women's Financial Learning Centre for an evening of dialogue and idea sharing.
The following topics will be discussed:
- Do you have to make a trade-off between doing the work you love and making money?
- Why is unsustainable debt being encouraged in our society and what can we do to stop it from limiting our freedom?
- How much money is enough? What does it take to be financially secure? How will we know when we get there?
- Is socially responsible investing just a marketing ploy?
- Does more money really make us happier?
